A quick roundup review of the beauty, skincare and haircare I tested in January. Jump to the reviews here.

The first month of 2022 flew by so quickly! For me, every weekend was packed with birthday parties, shopping and being generally lazy. Anyways, enjoy the clickable list and feel free to jump to anything that intrigues you. Happy reading!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
Category: Skincare
Would I Repurchase: Yes!
Thoughts...
This is a staple in my nightly routine now! At first I was thinking damn, I can't really notice a difference. Nothing is happening. About 3 weeks into using it, I definitely noticed my skin looking brighter in the morning, smoother and a lot my hydrated. I'll be honest, it's expensive BUT I don't use much so the 50ml bottle should last quite a while before needing a repurchase. I can't see any reason why I should remove it from my nightly skincare routine.

BYREDO Pulp
Category: Fragrance
Would I Repurchase: Maybe
Thoughts...
What a unique scent. If you know what a pomelo is and what it smells like, I swear smelling this is like smelling a pomelo but sweeter. I'm not great at describing scents but I guess this is a fruity citrus? This is my summer fragrance for sure. I love it. My only one complaint is it doesn't seem to last long enough on my skin - luckily tho I carry around a little travel perfume bottle (bought from Sephora years ago) which I refill with Pulp so I can bring it around everywhere.

Mecca Cosmetica Nourishing Hand Cream
Category: Bodycare
Would I Repurchase: Yes
Thoughts...
I received this from Mecca as a birthday present way back in October 2021. I only started using it around maybe December? But damn I was missing out. I love the smell, I love the way it sinks into my skin without feeling sticky, I love everything about it. I think the retail price is fair for the amount of product you get. It lives in my work desk and I just love it!

Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner
Category: Skincare
Would I Repurchase: No
Thoughts...
If you remember my ASOS Advent Calendar, this is one of the products that came in it. For now, I've been using it nightly. I use it by spraying 3 pumps into the palm of my hand, then patting it into my skin. It sinks into your skin very quickly. The smell of apricots is strong, so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who's sensitive to fragrances. I'll definitely use it until it's finished, but I probably will be on the hunt for something else once this is done.
Semi-Permanent Eyebrows
Category: Skincare?
Would I Repurchase: YES!
Thoughts...
Okaaay okay okay. May I just say this is probably the best decision I've made. I finally got around to getting my eyebrows tattooed!!! Honestly, the benefits outweighs the cost by kilometers. My getting ready in the past was always "I cannot leave the house without my eyebrows", my brows were thin, not full at all, and as I found out when I was getting them done...NOT EVEN THE SAME LENGTH. I wake up now and don't even have to think about filling in my eyebrows. In fact, I rarely feel the need to "get ready". I went to @shapedbyalycia and honestly she was so experienced. I highly highly recommend getting your brows tattooed if you have been thinking about it. (If you have questions, feel free to DM me on insta or leave a comment below!)

Dior Skin Forever Bronzer Powder Compact
Category: Makeup
Would I Repurchase: Yes
Thoughts...
I had been dreaming and tossing up on this bronzer for months before I bit the bullet and bought it. It's expensive for sure, but it works. The bronzer subtly warms up your skin and I have never had a bad experience with using it! The packaging is so cute too!

Kerastace Elixir Ultime Beautifying Hair Oil
Category: Haircare
Would I Repurchase: Yes
Thoughts...
This is THE hair oil. Shocker, it smells good! While my hair is damp, I'll take half a pump of this and run it through my hair, I avoid my scalp but I do get quite close to the top of my head. Since using this, my hair feels smoother and less crunchy! Added bonus is its a heat protectant. You don't need much at all and I can see the bottle lasting me for ages. Worth it and definitely will repurchase when it runs out.

KOSAS Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer and Daytime Eye Cream
Category: Makeup
Would I Repurchase: Yes
Thoughts...
AHHHHHHHHH! I have never gotten as many compliments as I have with using this. Honestly life changing. I find this works best when I skip primer and add it directly to my skin, it looks even better over my favourite sunscreen. I use it everywhere on my face and I find it doesn't crease, split or make me look oily. Love it, something I reach for everyday.
